Announces. "Time Out"

19-26 July 2000

Blast+The Random+Bowfinger Red Eye N 1, 8 pm, $9

Blast hail from the former USSR and are here to chalenge the belief that it' sell either Phil Collins or the Red Army Choir around their way. Led by Noshrevon `Nash` Tavkhelidze, they ply dirty, slizzy, alterno-rock`n`roll in a vaguely Stone stylee, as evidenced by the six-track minialbum, `Bury The Shoe Girl` (Ghost). In 1999 they became the first English-speaking Russian band to sing to British label.

2-9 August 2000

Blast+Willem Gossips W1, 8 pm , $10. Headlining Russian alterno-rockers garnered column inches earlier this year by becoming the first Russian band to sign to a British label and then getting locked up and banned from playing live by Heathrow immigration. Tonight, the plucky defectors raise hell with a show to plug their brand new single, `Bury The Shoe Girl` (Ghost Records). Big indie-rock noises from Willem in support.
